What is MRPscan?
MRPscan reads the tag on any jewellery piece and instantly calculates its exact price — the current day's gold rate, making charges, and GST are applied automatically, so your staff never has to calculate it by hand.
How does MRPscan pricing work?
There's a one-time product fee of ₹12,000 + GST to get set up, plus a pay-per-scan usage charge after that. Per-scan rates depend on your showroom's volume — see the Pricing page or talk to our sales team for an exact quote.
Do I need any special hardware to use MRPscan?
No. MRPscan runs on a regular smartphone and uses its camera to scan jewellery tags — there's no separate scanning device to buy.
How accurate is the price calculation?
MRPscan uses AI and OCR to read the details printed on the tag, then applies the live gold rate automatically. Because automated extraction can occasionally misread a damaged or unclear tag, we recommend a quick glance at the extracted details before showing the final price to a customer.
Can I choose between RTGS and Cash gold rates?
Yes. While calculating a price, you can pick RTGS or Cash rate for that piece — the MRP updates automatically to match the rate your showroom is using.
Can I set predefined rates for diamonds, colorstones, and making charges?
Yes. You can save predefined rates for diamonds, colorstones, and making/labour charges in Settings, so MRPscan applies them automatically instead of you entering them for every single scan.
Can multiple employees use MRPscan under one business account?
Yes. A business account can have multiple employee logins, and scan activity from every employee is tracked centrally under your business account.
Can I control what my employees can see or edit?
Yes. You can set permissions per employee — controlling which gold rates they can see, and whether they're allowed to edit rates while calculating a price.
Can I generate an invoice from MRPscan?
Yes. Once the final MRP is calculated, you can generate an invoice and share it with your customer directly from the app.
What payment methods are supported?
Payments are processed securely through Razorpay, which supports UPI, credit/debit cards, netbanking, and popular wallets.
Is my business and customer data secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data — see our Privacy Policy for full details on what we collect and how it's handled.
